John Ferramosca can run against anyone he chooses! (04/11/09 10:14pm)
I read
with great interest the article in the April 9, 2009 issue of the Hanover Eagle,
“Ferramosca to battle Fariello”. As is usual for election time in Hanover,
the derisive, inaccurate articles have begun. Just to set the record
straight for anyone who wants the facts, which obviously counts
the Eagle’s Editor and Mr. Fariello out, Mr. Ferramosca did not serve as
my campaign chairman when I ran in the Republican Primary in 2006.
Anyone who is interested in confirming this, can look at my
Election Law filings. True, Mr. Ferramosca supported me as I
will him, based upon both our beliefs in each others qualifications and ability
to lead. Why is this any different than Mr. Coppola and Ms. Iradi
supporting Mr. Fariello and vice versa? Answer: it
isn’t. Likewise, Mr. Ferramosca and I were supporters of Mr.
Francioli, just as Mr. Fariello and Ms. Iradi are supporters of Mr. Steiger.
Again, so what?
Mr.Fariello
somehow sees Mr. Ferramosca’s campaign bid as a personal affront and a ploy by
Mr. Francioli to “regain power”. I would think that if Mr. Francioli
wanted to “regain power” he would not have resigned his seat and simply helped
campaign against Mr. Fariello. Finally, the comment that Mr. Ferramosca
“now chooses to challenge the most experienced member on the Township
Committee” is both laughable and hypocritical. Didn’t Mr.
Fariello do the exact same thing when he chose to run against Sal
Iannaccone instead of waiting to run against a less seasoned candidate?
Mr. Fariello has no experience in planning, which is now needed
in this economy to build a thriving community. He served as the
Director of Planning for only one year and I know first hand as I was
the Board Chair, that he missed almost as many meetings as he attended,
and never attended a meeting during the last nine years except the year that he
served as the Director of Planning. As Mayor, Mr. Fariello, had
the ability to remove Mr. Iannaccone and me from the Planning Board and did so
at his first opportunity. Was this retaliation for our support of Mr.
Francioli who appointed us? He ignored our qualifications and years of
service and acted politically in his own interest and not those of the
residents. We live in a democracy and John Ferramosca can run
against anyone he chooses.
Maria,
You are in good company.
My son will graduate this year from WPHS as have my other son and daughter. He is looking forward to porject graduation with his classmates.
There will be one difference from when his siblings graduated and then attended the night long party. This year Mr Olsen will not be able to participate as I was told he has been denied reappointment to the substance awareness counsel that oversees project graduation. I guess he is as detremental to the town as you and Mr. Iannaccone. It's really no surprise coming from this newly enpowered group that the school resource officer is also in danger of being removed at WPHS. Hopefully both of these are oversites that will be addressed.
