I am struck by how eloquent Mr. Ferramosca appears to be on this web site, compared to how taciturn he was during last Thursday's meeting. Here, he's a veritable font of information; there, he seemed constrained to do no more than read, time and time again, from his "prepared statement."
Aren't those who ask questions during the public meeting entitled to receive the same sort of detailed information that is provided to someone who comes to this site with a question?
I'm also curious as to why Mr. Ferramosca thought that it was appropriate for him to become one of the moving parties in putting this proposal on the table, as (if I correctly understand the "span of authority" that's listed on the Hanover Township web site), neither the Department of Public Works nor the Parks and Recreation Department appears to fall within his purview.
Put another way, I wonder what his reaction would be if the Messers. Sheridan and Coppola suddenly thought it would be a great idea to put their plans for merging DPW with the Building and Engineering Departments on the table for public discussion? Or, if these same two gentlemen (perhaps joined by Ms. Iradi), were to come to the decision that it was high time to put a proposal calling for the dissolution of the Environmental Commission before the public?
I'm curious to learn what his reaction might be if these others (mentioned above) just sort of rushed the proposal to the table, without first having taken the time to research the matter thoroughly, or to discuss it in some detail with the full committee.
Better, yet, I'd be interested in learning what his reaction would be if one of the actions imagined above was done without there first being a genuine effort on the part of those others to see to it that he became an integral part of the process? I think, under the circumstances that we have here, that these are all legitimate questions, and that answers that are clearly responsive to the questions asked are called for (either here, or if Mr. Ferramosca prefers, during this coming Thursday's meeting).
