Ridgedale Avenue ONE Lane?!?!?!? (09/03/10 5:26pm)
Are they NUTS?! Read the Hanover Eagle article. They've gotta be kidding me. Sure let's up the population of our town and then do some reverse-engineering. Ridgedale practically needs a THIRD lane going each way...oh but one lane makes much more sense...wow.
One lane makes NO sense at all! Especially if you're looking at more development. For anyone biking on Ridgedale Ave, one lane would be especially horrible!
Reducing traffic on Ridgedale Avenue down to one lane is ridiculous. It will not reduce traffic it will only INCREASE. There was a disabled vehicle on Ridgedale the other day forcing only Northbound traffic down to one lane and traffic backed up all the way to Hanover Avenue. People are concerned with accidents near the Fire House.....put in left turn arrows on the traffic signals to make it safer to turn. It will cost MUCH less and be a practical solution. The Township Committee is already WASTING our tax dollars on the engineering study. Add the arrow and the problem is solved, reduce the lanes and how long will it take to get a fire truck or ambulance down Ridgedale???
