Election commentary and related posts will be limited to those from actual residents of Hanover. We expect honesty and integrity from our elected official and candidates and those standards should also apply to comment from visitors to this site whether they be for or against a particular official or candidate.
Why the change?
Over the last several months, a user of this site has expressed opinions under the username 1mwnsyj0. The same individual has also signed several of the posts "Joe P." and finally used an actual name "Joe Peinard / Whipany"(his spelling of Whippany, not mine) on one of the posts.
When I questioned his lack of voter participation based on not appearing in the Morris County voters list over the last 6-years, he responded back indicating that he was a business owner in Whippany implying that he did not actually live in Hanover. That would still not explain the lack of voter participation in the last 6-years unless of course he lived outside of Morris County or perhaps was still continuing to use a factious name.
Elections are serious events and should be treated as such. This election cycle has been for the most part very civil and from my perspective about issues, qualifications and experience. All of the people seeking office are decent individuals who I believe would expect their supporters to deal with their differences in a civil manner as well.
