Congratulations to Scheliefer and Francioli for winning the Republican Primary for Township Committee. Richard Dunne ran Unopposed in the Democrat Primary.

 

Elections are always about moving forward. During this primary campaign a lot of criticism was directed towards past events some of which in my view were at best exaggerated or at worse, intentionally distorted.

 

The attempts to shift attention from Francioli’s over 30 years of accomplishments and service to the community, to the events surround his decision to leave the committee, FAILED as they should have and it is time to move on.

 

There will be at least a 3-way race in November with the potential for a 4^th entry but at the time of this writing that is purely speculation. Regardless of the final numbers of candidates in November, there are still many issues to be dealt with and the residents have every right to expect responsible behavior from our all of our elected officials between now and the re-organization on January 1^st 2011.
